CUA competes at Messiah College Invitational

GRANTHAM, Pa. – CUA continued its season at the Messiah College Invitational on Saturday.  The Cardinals top finisher on the day was Matt Zemba, who won the 400 meters in a time of 50.71 seconds.  As a team CUA placed 14th out of 16 schools in attendance.

In the 10,000 meters Kian Olia (36:25.81) and Joe Kenny (38:25.81) crossed in eighth and ninth place, respectively.

CUA's 4x400 relay team earned a point with an eighth place finish, posting a time of 3:42.64 and the 4x800 team totaled three points after crossing in 9:03.15.

The Cardinals scored 15 points and placed 14th in the team standings.  Messiah won the team crown after scoring 100.5 points, followed by Lebanon Valley with 89.5 and Dickinson with 85.

CUA returns to action next weekend when the Cardinals compete at the Gettysburg Invitational.  Action on April 16 gets underway beginning at 10 a.m.
