Cardinals place eighth at championships

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - CUA placed eighth at the Landmark Conference championship on Saturday on a cold, snowy afternoon.  Freshman Dylan Jones led the way for the Cardinals with a 28th place finish in a time of 27:01.10

Host Moravian took the top spot in the team standings with 38 points, followed by Susquehanna (49), Scranton (55), Juniata (120), Merchant Marine Academy (154), Goucher (159), Drew (168) and CUA (172).

Other runners that competed for CUA on Saturday included Mike Puskar, who crossed in 32nd place with a time of 27:08.60, George Brewer, who came in 35th place in 27:19.80, Kian Olia, who finished in 27:40.80, good for 43rd place, Mike Spielberger (53), Chris Derks (56), Kyle McKenna (62), Joe Quigley (75), Nick Pavia (78), and Mike Kennedy (81).

Ian Quinlan of Susquehanna and Matthew Lutcza of Moravian took the top two individual spots.

CUA returns to the trail in two weeks when the Cardinals head to Sequin, Texas to compete at the NCAA Regional championship on November 15.  Action begins at 11 a.m.
