Catholic Finishes in Third Place at the Hood Open

FREDERICK, Md.- The Catholic University men's cross country team finished in third place overall with 110 points on Saturday at the Hood Open.

The Cards were led by Junior Cosmo Pirozzi with a time of 27:10.5, placing him in 11th. Junior Joseph LaPointe was the next Cardinal to finish, with a time of 28:06.6.

"The men had their best race of the year and it couldn't have happened at a better time." said Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Steve Rahn. "The leadership and experience of Cosmo and Joey has proven beneficial for freshman Owen, Paul, TJ, and Joe. We're excited and focused for our last few weeks leading up to Landmark Champions."

The Cardinals will race next at the Landmark Conference Championships in Lebanon, Pa. on Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m.
