1998 Season

Nyaladzi Nthunamo (Gaborone, Botswana/Lobatse Secondary School) became the first Catholic men's cross country runner to earn All-Region since Andrew Cleary in 1990. Nthunamo posted a season-best 27:04 time at the regional meet Nov. 14.

Senior Anne Connolly (Sherborn, Mass./Dover-Sherborn Regional) earned First-Team All-CAC honors by placing seventh in the CAC Cross Country Championships at York, Pa. Connolly traversed the 3.1-mile course in 19 minutes and 55.8 seconds and helped the Cardinals to a second-place finish.

Nicky Bhalla (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) and Tudi Tudryn (Sunderland, Mass./Stoneleigh-Burnham) made Second-Team All-CAC by placing 13th and 14th, respectively. Bhalla's time was 20:15.81 and Tudryn's was 20:23.39.

In the men's meet, Dan Dougherty (Arvada, Colo./Holy Family) earned Second-Team All-CAC by covering the 5-mile course in 28:15.45 to finish 15th. Catholic placed fifth.
