Men's Cross Country Competes at Generals Invitational

Santuoso named to All-Invitational Squad

LEXINGTON, Va. (Sept. 9, 2006) - The Catholic University Men's Cross Country squad competed in its first meet of the 2006 season Saturday morning at Washington and Lee University.  CUA only entered four runners so the team was ineligible to place in the scoring, but those that ran put on a good showing for the Cardinals.

Sophomore Paul Santuoso (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) was the top performer for the Cards finishing as the tenth collegiate runner.  His time of 30:31 was good enough to place him on the All-Invitational team.  Freshman Andrew Smith was the second Cardinals in with a time of 31:21 for 17th place overall.

Senior Kevin Milsted (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) placed 27th (32:35) and freshman Christopher Kremer came in 61st with a time of 39:55.

Host school Washington and Lee University won the overall title while Roanoke College took second.  The Cardinals will be running at the NYU Invitational next Saturday in New York City.
