WASHINGTON - Erin Adams and Victoria Capozucca were named the Landmark Conference Players of the Week following a 1-1 split with Moravian Thursday.

Adams was named the Player of the Week for the first time in her career, while this is Capozucca's second career weekly Pitcher of the Week honor.

Adams went 5-for-9 from the plate for Catholic who split games with Moravian to remain in third place in the Landmark standings. In the Cardinals' 9-0 win, Adams was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and a 1.000 slugging percentage. The rookie was perfect in the field from third base with three putouts and four assists.

Capozucca pitched the complete game shutout victory over Moravian on Thursday as the team won 9-0. The senior pitched the entire game scattering six hits with two strikeouts.  Capozucca pitched 3.1 innings of relief in the second game of the doubleheader and gave up two hits with one run for a 0.68 earned run average for the series.

The Cardinals return to action this Saturday, April 26 when they host Scranton in the final 2-game Landmark series of the regular season.
