Landmark Swimming & Diving Championships: Day Two

WASHINGTON - The Lady Cards bounced back from their opening day showing with a first place finish in the 800-yard freetsyle relay, as the men notch a second place finish in the 200-yard medley relay and a third place finish in the 800 relay.

Joanna Ladas, Christine Loughery, Elizabeth Malia and Julia Wisler took first place with a new CUA swimming record time of 7:57.62.  The record finish also broke the Landmark record previously set by a CUA quartet.

The men earned their top finish in the 200-yard medley relay, breaking another CUA record. Caleb Capozella, Joe Cihak, Dominic Grillo, and Matt Wagner took second place with a time of 1:34.93.

While taking third place in the 800-yard freestyle relay, Capozella, Haas, Mark Solace and Guido Saccaggi notched a new school record with a time of 7:03.31.

Both the men's and women's teams are now in third place with scores of 383 and 334, respectively.
