WASHINGTON — Kendrea Williams hit six 3-pointers in the second half to help Fairleigh Dickinson Florham rally past Catholic University, 67-60, to win the championship of the Jamie Lynn Roberts – Fairfield Inn Holiday Tournament on Friday.

Williams finished with 25 points, largely on the strength of her 7-for-12 shooting from 3-point distance, and was named to the All-Tournament team. Rachel Groom added 22 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. She made 10 of 14 shots and was named MVP.

Michelle DeSantis led the Cardinals with 15 points. Melissa Errico had 13 points and eight boards. Bernadette Launi produced 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. She and Payton Smith (11 points) were named All-Tournament.

Both teams are 9-2.

CUA jumped to an 18-2 lead and took a 35-23 advantage into halftime. The Devils scored the first eight points after the break and took their first lead, 40-39, on a Williams' trey from the left corner with 1:07 to play in the third quarter.

The Cardinals committed 10 of their 27 turnovers in the third and were outscored 19-6. Outside of Williams and Groom, FDU was 5 of 29 from the field. It scored 30 points off of CUA turnovers.

The game was tied for the last time at 52 with 3:44 left. Williams sank consecutive 3s to put the Devils up by six. A DeSantis jumper brought the Cards to within 60-56 with under two minutes to go. They would get no closer.
