WASHINGTON, D.C. - Due to the winter storm forecasted for the region on Wednesday, the Catholic University women's basketball team's 2019 Landmark Conference Women's Basketball Championship semifinal contest at Elizabethtown has been postponed moved to Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
The Cardinals (16-9) are making their eighth appearance in the Landmark Conference tournament where they have posted an 8-4 record while winning championships in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
Catholic and Elizabethtown have met twice in the conference tournament with the Cards winning both at home. Two years ago, Megan Stafford had three points and nine rebounds in a 60-56 overtime win on Feb. 22, 2017. Current assistant coach Bridget Power totaled six points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 52-47 Cardinal victory on Feb. 25, 2015.
The Blue Jays (18-6), who are hosting their first Landmark Conference tournament game since joining the conference prior to the 2014-15 season, won both meetings in the regular season. Elizabethtown swept posted a 75-64 win at home on Jan. 16 despite a career-high 16 points from sophomore Cristin George.
Catholic is 7-5 against the Blue Jays since they joined the conference.

Due to the change in the date of the semifinals, the conference championship was also moved to Sunday, Feb. 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the highest remaining seed.
