WASHINGTON - Anastasia Brandenburg was named the Landmark Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Cardinals to wins over Elizabethtown and Drew and the No. 1 seed in this week's Landmark Conference tournament.

Brandenburg shined on both sides of the field, adding seven goals and an assist to go with her five caused turnovers and four ground balls.

In Catholic's 18-1 win at E-Town, Brandenburg had three caused turnovers and a ground ball as the Cardinals shut down the Blue Jays' offense. On the offensive end she scored three goals and had an assist.

Against Drew, the rookie midfielder forced two caused turnovers and scooped up three ground balls in the win. She added her second career hat-trick with four goals in the 21-11 win.

As the No. 1 seed, Catholic will host No. 4 Scranton on Wednesday in Cardinal Stadium at 4:00 p.m. in the conference semifinals.
