No. 11 Cardinals Fall to No. 7 Spartans

York, Pa. - No. 11 The Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team fell 14-6 to the No. 7 York College Spartans on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Allie Bond won eight draw controls while senior Laura Dunn and Nicolette Crisalli each recorded a pair of goals. 

After a scoreless opening four minutes, the Cardinals got on the scoreboard first with a goal from Crisalli. The Spartans answered with a seven-goal run before senior Alexis Bosilovic ripped the ball between the pipes for Catholic. York got one more in before the break to take an 8-2 halftime break.

Dunn came out quick in the second half with a goal in the opening 48 seconds assisted by classmate Ana Brandenburg.

Dunn scored another three minutes later on a free position opportunity followed by a goal from Crisalli, assisted by senior Anna Stumme. Senior Jenna Van Middelem recorded the Cardinals' final goal of the event.

Sophomore Christina De Cesaris started in goal for the Cards and made four saves while rookie Nanci Hernandez closed out the game making seven saves in the second half. 

The Cardinals will return home for a Landmark Conference match against Susquehanna University at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 8.
