WASHINGTON - No. 17 The Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team shut out the Eagles of Juniata College, 19-0, on Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated at 4-0 in the Landmark Conference.
Senior Nicolette Crisalli led the Cardinals with five goals to tally her 225th career goal. Crisalli is third all-time in the Catholic women's lacrosse program and Landmark Conference for career goal.
Crisalli added an assist to the victory while sophomores Holly Regan and Ally Criscuolo each had two assists. Fellow sophomore Katie Bradbury notched her season-high of three goals and she went 1-of-1 on eight-meter opportunities.
The Cardinals scored their first five goals in the opening five minutes of play with conversions from Crisalli, Regan, Criscuolo, and sophomore Julia Clementi (2).
Crisalli scored back-to-back next before Bradbury scored two in a row. Regan fired the Cardinal's 10th goal into the cage followed by juniors Jessica Lyons and Molly Kelly along with Behlen and Bradbury each adding one more for a 14-0 Catholic advantage at halftime.
Crisalli opened the second half with another pair of back-to-back goals. Hartman then ripped in a free position shot for Catholic's 17th goal and senior Sarah Washington took a pass from Regan to scored the Cardinals 18th. Lyons wrapped up the event for the Cardinals with an unassisted shot with just over three minutes to play.
The No. 17 Cardinals, now 8-5, are set to host Goucher College on Wednesday, April 18 at 5 p.m.
