WASHINGTON - No. 15 The Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team has punched its ticket to the Landmark Conference Championship Finals for the 11th consecutive season with a 20-6 conference semifinal victory over Drew University on Wednesday afternoon.
Catholic head coach Meghan McDonogh exhausted her bench during the league's semifinal game and 11 different Cardinals recorded points. Sophomore Holly Regan led Catholic with nine points on three goals and six assists while senior Nicolette Crisalli tallied six goals on the day.
Ellis and Crisalli each scored once more in the half while Regan ripped three between the pipes. Junior Molly Kelly, sophomore Katie Bradbury and freshman Sydney Hartman each slotted one to help the Cardinals to a 14-3 lead at the break.
Crisalli opened the second half with back-to-back conversations on assists form Hartman and Regan, respectively. Maupin fired in her second of the day before sophomore Julia Clementi hit two in a row. Bradbury capped off the event with Catholic's 20th goal.
No. 1-seeded Catholic is set to host the Landmark Conference Championship Finals on Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. They will face the winner of the semifinal game between No. 2 Scranton and No. 3 Moravian. Check back at catholicathletics.com for further updates.
