No. 14 Catholic Set to Take on Johnson & Wales in NCAA First Round

WASHINGTON - No. 14 The Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team is set to travel to Rowan University to take on Johnson & Wales University in the First Round of the NCAA DIII Championship Tournament on Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m.

The Cardinals captured their fifth straight Landmark Conference Crown on Saturday, May 5, with an 18-10 victory over the University of Scranton which punched their ticket to the team's fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA DIII Championship Tournament.

Catholic boasts a 13-6 overall record and finished undefeated in the Landmark Conference (7-0) for the fifth straight season.

Johnson & Wales enters the NCAA DIII Tournament after winning its second-straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Title. Like the Cardinals, the Wildcats are undefeated in league play (10-0) this season. They hold an overall record of 17-2.

The winner of the opening round is slated to face Rowan University on Sunday, May 13 at 1 p.m..
