ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Catholic saw St. Mary's score the first six goals as the Seahawks downed the Cardinals, 19-6, in a CAC contest Tuesday afternoon. SMC's Sarah Slone led all scorers with six goals and three assists. Junior Anna Gateau (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) led CUA with four goals.

The Seahawks' (5-0, 2-0 CAC) Kate Story opened the scoring just 12 seconds into the contest. Story would add two more and help set up two others. St. Mary's led 14-2 at the half.

Senior Kate Abbonizio (Upper Darby, Pa./Archbishop Pendergrast) and freshman Kristen Wisniewski (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) each had a goal and an assist.

Senior goalie Amanda Lewis (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) made eight saves while SMC's Jen Chumley was credited with six stops.

The Cardinals (3-3, 1-1 CAC) return to action on Thursday as they host Mary Washington in a CAC game at DuFour Field at 4 p.m.
