STEVENSON, Md. - Catholic dropped its fourth game in a row as the Cardinals sputtered in the second half falling 12-11 to Villa Julie in a non-conference game Monday afternoon. CUA led 8-6 at the half but could only muster three goals in the final 30 minutes.

Senior Ann Lawall (Newtown, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) scored her first of three goals to break a 6-6 tie with just under three minutes in the half. Junior Anna Gateau (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) made it 8-6 right before the half as she scored her third goal of the period with just four seconds remaining.

The Mustangs' Nikke Hentz scored thee times for VJC (5-4), including the last two goals to hold off Catholic. Freshman Kristen Wisniewski (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) made it a one-goal game with her second tally of the day with 45 seconds to play, but it wasn't enough.

Senior keeper Amanda Lewis (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) was tough in goal, posting seven saves for Catholic (3-6).

The Cardinals get back to action on Wednesday with a non-conference matchup with Virginia Wesleyan here at DuFour Field at 4 p.m.
