CUA Women's Lacrosse Earns Second Seed, Remains in IWLCA Top 20

WASHINGTON (April 15, 2005) -- The CUA women's lacrosse team posted a 3-2 record against Capital Athletic Conference foes this season -- its best since the 1998 inaugural season -- and earned the second seed in the CAC Tournament for the first time in program history.

The team also appeared in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association top 20 poll (19th) for the second week in a row and extended its record breaking win streak to 10 with a victory over Villa Julie College on Thursday.

The Cardinals, who stand at 11-3 overall, secured a first-round bye with wins over then #13 St. Mary's College, #16 Goucher College and Marymount University. On Tuesday, April 19, the team will host the winner of Sunday's Goucher vs. Marymount match up.
