Women's Lacrosse Earns IWLCA All-Academic Squad Honors

WASHINGTON-- For the third consecutive year, the CUA women's lacrosse team has earned the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's (IWLCA) All-Academic Team honor as well as four individuals being named to the All-Academic Squad.

For a team to qualify for the All-Academic Team award it must have a team GPA above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.  The following four Cardinals earned an individual award by posting an individual GPA higher than 3.5:

Katie Bitonti, Sr., Psychology
Melissa Brashear, Jr., Politics
Laura Haring, Jr., Politics/Media Studies,
Lauren Sheils, Jr., Nursing

CUA has never had four individuals earn All-Academic Squad honors. Please note, the academic year shown is for the 2008-09 year.
