Fiore, Colucci, and Halperin Named to All-Landmark Teams

Official Landmark Release

WASHINGTON – Alyssa Fiore, Tricia Colucci, and Lexi Halperin were named to the All-Landmark Teams for women's soccer on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Alyssa Fiore (Levittown, N.Y./Division Avenue) burst onto the scene for the Cardinals this year as a freshman, earning first-team All-Landmark honors. The rookie started all 19 games for Catholic at the center midfield position. Fiore made an impact from day one, setting up the team's first goal of the year in the season-opening game versus Frostburg St. For the season, she had eight assists and recorded one goal; her 10 points were fourth-best on the team.

Joining Fiore on the first team is Tricia Colucci (Rehoboth Beach, Del./Cape Henlopen). This is Colucci's second appearance on the All-Landmark team, after earning first-team honors last year as well. The team captain started all 19 games at central defense for Catholic. As the on-field general, Colucci commanded the back line, which allowed just 0.93 goals per game, good for second-best in the conference.

Rounding out the All-Landmark selections for CUA is sophomore goalkeeper Lexi Halperin (River Vale, N.J./Pascack Valley). This is her second straight all-conference selection, having been named first-team All-Landmark in 2012. She started all 17 games that she appeared in and tallied 60 saves on the season. Halperin boasted a .800 save percentage which was the best in the conference. Halperin also registered five shutouts on the way to earning second-team honors this year. Twice this season, Halperin was named the Landmark Defensive Player of the Week (9/3, 11/4) for her work as the last line of defense.
