WASHINGTON - CUA women's soccer (8-3, 4-0 CAC) handily beat the Gallaudet Bison (2-6, 0-3 CAC) at DuFour Field Monday evening. The Cardinals had three players score multiple goals in the 9-0 routing. McGuire got the early goal just two minutes into the game off of a CUA corner kick. At 17:22 Cooke took a pass from Diana Napolitano (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J./Immaculate Heart) to put the score at 2-0.
The Cards continued to dominate the offensive play in the first half with Suzie Peters (Nanuet, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) netting two goals, as well as Cooke knocking down numbers three and four for the game. As the teams went into the break, the score was at 6-0.
The second half went as smoothly as the first with the Cardinals scoring three more goals. Just three minutes later, McGuire struck again this time getting the assist from Kelley Andersen (Dover, Del./St. Thomas More). Senior Kate Rosenberg (Portland, Ore./Saint Mary's) hit the final goal of the game with Napolitano notching the helper making the final 9-0.
