Courtney Orgill Named Player of the Week

WASHINGTON-- For the second week in a row the CUA women's soccer team received player of the week honors.  Freshman Courtney Orgill was named Landmark Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performances over the weekend in the DC Classic Tournament.

Orgill was a threat every time she touched the ball scoring four times in two tournament matches.

In the first game of the weekend against Gwynedd-Mercy, Orgill started things scoring the first goal for the Cardinals.  She then added another later in the match as the Cardinals went on to a 4-1 victory.  In the second game of the weekend, Orgill again scored two goals.  Her effort combined with stellar defensive play led the Cardinals to their fourth shutout of the season.

The Cardinals face off against Marymount tonight at 7 p.m. and will travel to Alvernia on Saturday for a 2 p.m. match.
