CUA Women’s Tennis Defeats Saint Vincent In Fall Competition

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University women's tennis team opened the fall season with a 5-4 win over St. Vincent on CUA Tennis Courts on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Emma Needham and Isabel Tanco took the No. 2 doubles win  with a score of 8-5, as the No. 3 doubles team consisting of Lindsey Rekstis and Laura Torsiello secured an 8-5 victory.

Isabel Tanco secured a No. 4 singles win with a score of 6-1, 6-1.  Maria Notarianni took a No. 5 singles win with a score of 6-1, 6-1.  Faith Tamuleviz closed out the Cardinal victories with a 6-3, 6-3 win.

CUA continues fall action on Thursday, Sept.12 at Trinity College in Washington, D.C., at 3:30 p.m.
