WASHINGTON — Playing in its first home match since October, The Catholic University of America women's tennis team took on Harford on Wednesday afternoon and came away with a 5-4 victory.
The Cardinals came away with two-of-three doubles matches to help take the win.
McLaughlin was a two-time winner for Catholic ash she also won in the No. 5 singles bout in a completive matchup, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
Not to be outdone, rookie Grace Connell also proved to be a double-up winner as she was victorious in the No. 4 singles spot to get the individual wins started for the Cardinals, 6-7 (5-7), 6-5, 6-2.
She then teamed with junior Lisa Genadry to take the No. 3 doubles match, 8-4.
Catholic, now in a stretch of five home matches in its final six to end the season, hosts Susquehanna in Landmark action this Saturday at 1 p.m.
