Edwards, Simonson Post Wins in 6-3 Loss at Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Catholic University women's tennis team fell to Gettysburg in a nonconference match on Friday, 6-3.

The Cardinals were led by freshman Brooke Simonson and junior Lauren Edwards. Simonson won the first match for the Cardinals in the second singles, 6-0, 6-2. While Edwards followed with a 6-1, 6-3 victory for Catholic in the fourth singles.

The duo of Simonson and Edwards then paired for the second doubles match and won 8-2.

Catholic will return to action on Saturday, October 6 at St. Marys (Md.).
