Women's Track & Field Competes at ECAC Indoor Championship

WASHINGTON - Five Cardinals traveled to Boston, Mass. to represent Catholic at the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championship on March 7-8.

Mary Clark, crowned the Landmark Field Co-Athlete of the Year earlier this week, qualified for the ECAC Championships when she set a conference record in the Weight Throw with a 15.34 meter toss last Saturday.

On Saturday, Clark competed in the second of three flights and had a 14.10 meter effort on her second toss. The throw earned her a spot in the top-20 with a 19th place finish.

Catholic's 4x200 relay of Maria Dextra Cercos, Danielle Caruccio, Bridget Krumholz, and Victoria Maueran posted a 1:52.01 timein the event, finishing 30th.

With the indoor season now finished, the Cardinals will return to action when the head to Fredericksburg, Va. for their first outdoor event of the season, the Battleground Relays at Mary Washington on March 15.
