WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America women's track and field team finished in fifth place with 61 points at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday.
On the track CUA's Danielle Caruccio took a first place finish in the 400 meter dash with a season best time of 59.20. Caruccio also notched a third place finish in the 200 meter dash (26.50) while Bridget Krumholz finished fifth in the 800 meter run (2:27.50).
In the field Stephanie Taylor and Emily Cumming each fourth place points for the Cards in the high jump (4'8") while Taylor finished eighth in the triple jump (9.60m).
Catholic's Mary Clark threw a season best of 45.75 meters in the hammer throw to earn first place while KAila DeFalco placed sixth (35.58 meters) and Samantha Kozlowsk finished ninth with her personal best of 31.82 meters. Additionally Clark saw a personal best in the discus (36.68 meters) for a fourth place finish and finished fifth in the shot put event (11.35 meters).
The Catholic women's track and field team will attend the McDaniel Twilight Invitational on Tuesday, April 21 and the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 23, before finishing out their season with the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday, May 2.
