Selinsgrove, Pa. - The Catholic University of America women's track and field team took fourth place with 74 points at the 2015 Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
On the track Danielle Caruccio set a new school record of 57.44 seconds in the 400-meter dash and sprinted a personal record of 26.4 seconds in the 200-meter dash to earn the team third place points in both events.
Bridget Krumholz stood on the podium for the Cards after placing seventh in the 800-meter run (2:23.74) and crushing her best time by four seconds, while Maria Dextra Cercos notched sixth place 100-meter hurdles (16.67) and fourth place in the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.46).
In the field Mary Clark threw the hammer for her third consecutive first place finish while setting a new school and meet record of 47.39 meters. Clark also notched podium spots in the discus, placing second (37.49m), shot put, placing sixth (11.69), and Javelin, placing seventh (31.51).
The Catholic women worked together to place third in the 4x400 (4:05.62) with Jane Marrinan in the lead off spot followed by Bridget Krumholz, Eileen McAlonan and Caruccio, respectively. Lauren Hayes lead off the 4x100 relay with Caruccio in the number two spot followed by McAlonan and anchored by Maue for a fourth place finish.
