Selinsgrove, Pa. – Junior sprinter Danielle Caruccio led the way for The Catholic University of America women's track & field team on Friday at the Susquehanna Invite. Caruccio won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.71, winning by over a second.
Caruccio also added a seventh-place finish in the 200 dash at 27.56.
Rookie Victoria Turner was also impressive for CUA, placing seventh in the long jump at 4.80 meters. Tuner also picked up a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at 10.29.
Senior jumper Stephanie Taylor also placed seventh in the high jump, clearing 1.48 meters.
Friday's meet started a stretch of three-straight events at Susquehanna. The Cardinals return to SU next weekend for the Susquehanna Open before the Landmark Championships on Saturday, February 27.
