Catholic Women’s Track & Field Finishes Sixth at Landmark Championships

Huntingdon, Pa.– The Catholic University of America women's track & field team completed the two-day Landmark Conference Championship, hosted by Juniata, posted several strong performances, finishing sixth overall.

Rookie thrower Andrea Galeano became a Landmark Champion, with an impressive throw of 43.34 meters in the hammer throw. It was nearly five meters farther than her previous PR. Fellow freshman Brenna Coppola also added strong mark, placing fourth with a toss of 39.29.

Junior sprinter Danielle Caruccio started off the Cardinals' podium finishes with a sixth-place run in the 200-meter dash with a time in a 26.60. Carruccio went on to earn a silver in the 400, going sub-minute with a time of 58.63.

Senior jumper Stephanie Taylor earned a bronze in the high jump, clearing 1.57 meters. She also placed fifth in the long jump at 4.67 meters.
