WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America women's track & field team had a busy weekend as they competed at both Widener and George Mason University.
At Widener, Eileen McAlonan led the way in 800 as she earned the top time with a mark of 2:43.04. She also went on to take fourth in the long jump, getting out to a distance of 4.56 meters.
Sophomore Andrea Galeano continued her strong start to the year, winning the weight throw for the second-straight meet with a toss of 15.03 meters
At Division I George Mason, Danielle Caruccio posted to top DIII time and finished fourth overall in the 400 at 1:00.64.
Sophomore Theresa Matula also put forth an impressive performance with a top-15 finish in the mile. Matula finished 14th overall with a time of 5:44.79.
Next up for the Cardinals is Christopher Newport's Vince Brown Invitational this coming Saturday.
