Annapolis, Md. — The Catholic University of America women's track & field team was represented at Division I Navy the day before Easter as senior Kiera Lyons ran at the U.S. Naval Academy's Spring Invitational.

Stepping up two levels of competition, Lyons competed in a field of 25 runners in the 1,500.

The Harwood, Md., native topped her seed time by nearly three seconds as she crossed the finish line in 4:53.13, good for eighth overall.

Lyons posted a faster time than runners from Navy, Maryland, George Washington, Towson, and American.
