Catholic Gets a Win at the Towson Invitational

Towson, Md. — The Catholic University of America women's track & field team was back in action on Saturday at the Division I Towson Tiger Invitational. The day was highlight by a win on the track and an impressive field toss.

Though the Cardinals were up against a field that included several DI opponents, the team still finished ninth against 19 competing teams.

Senior Kiera Lyons continued her hot streak as she won the 3,000-meter steeplechase by over a half minute with a time of 11:36.88.

Junior Andrea Galeano took sixth in the hammer throw as she boomed a toss of 42.50 meters.

The Cardinals now have one final tune-up at the crosstown Gallaudet Bison Invitational next Saturday before the Landmark Conference Championships.
