Galeano and Lyons Garner All-Conference Accolades

WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America women's track & field team garnered two All-Landmark Conference performances at the annual championship meet as junior Andrea Galeano and senior Kiera Lyons both made the all-league teams. 

For the second-straight season, Galeano is an All-Landmark First Teamer thanks to her win in the hammer throw. The Bridgeport, Conn., native boomed a toss of 46.64 meters to earn the victory.

Lyons earns second-team honors set a school record in the steeplechase as she earned the silver with a time of 11:12.62, less than a half-second off the pace.

Next up for the Cardinals is an NCAA-qualifying meet at Swarthmore on Monday, May 14, at 4 p.m.
