BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Catholic University women's track and field team competed at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian College on Saturday.
Senior Kiera Lyons led the Cardinals with a first-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase. The Harwood, Md. native ran an 11:56.57, beating her closest competitors by 12.06 seconds. Junior Emily Tighe followed behind Lyons with an eighth-place finish.
Freshman Paige Wilderotter placed 13th in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:57.83. She also posted a 2:30.10 in the women's 800m to place 18th.
In the field events, senior Andrea Galeano finished fourth in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 44.81m.
Catholic will return to action on Saturday, April 20 at the Gallaudet Invitational.
