CAC Recognizes Stengle as Week's Top Performer for Women's Track

WASHINGTON (March 21, 2005) -- Kim Stengle (Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) of Catholic University has been named Capital Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the sport of women's track and field for her performance during the week ending March 20.

Stengle placed first in both the shot put and javelin competitions, third in the hammer throw and fifth in the discus throw Saturday at the Roanoke Outdoor Invitational. Her winning distances were 37-feet in the shot and 119-feet, 9-inches in the javelin; her top effort in the hammer was 120-feet and, in the discus, it was 111-feet, 10-inches.
