Brubaker has been an assistant throws coach for the Cardinals since 2014 and moved into the head role in 2017. A 2013 graduate of Catholic University, Brubaker was a team captain and stand out performer for the Cardinals track team in his four years with the program.
Brubaker is a USA Track and Field Level 1 certified track and field coach and also has received his strength and conditioning coaching certification from the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
As an athlete, Brubaker finished second-team all conference twice in the weight throw event. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in politics in 2013, also earning the James Dorney award for outstanding academic achievement among Catholic politics major.
Brubaker has coached numerous all-conference athletes at CUA, including two Field Athlete of the Year recipients in Mary Clark (Outdoor 2014, Indoor 2015), and Andrea Galeano (Indoor 2017). Under Brubaker's and coach Kim Stengle's coaching, Galeano was a national qualifier in the weight throw.
Brubaker also assists with Catholic's recruiting efforts.
Brubaker resides in Washington, DC and works as a consultant in the DC area.
