Catholic Volleyball Drops Two at Landmark Conference Event

Elizabethtown, Pa. – The last Landmark Conference Weekend of the season concluded with Catholic losses to Moravian and Elizabethtown at Thompson Gymnasium on Saturday.

The defeats drop the Cardinals to 20-10 on the year and 1-6 in the conference.

Catholic dropped its first match 21-25, 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 15-12 to the Royals.

Maria Juelle led the Cards with 14 kills alongside 11 kills from Mary Paige Nesfeder. Michelle Seals tallied 43 assists. Michelle Bouchard, Seals and Tara Rempel recorded double-figure digging numbers with 19, 14 and 11 digs, respectively. Audrey Bizak made four unassisted stops at the net.

The second match of the day went to Elizabethtown, with Catholic falling in three 25-14, 25-15, 25-21.

Nesfeder guided the squad with seven kills. Seals distributed 20 assists. Bouchard gathered 14 digs, with Seals contributing 11 digs to the defense as well. Kathryn Herrington assisted on two blocks.

Catholic returns to action on Saturday, October 25 for the Lynchburg Tri-match with Shenandoah and Lynchburg.
