Catholic Splits on Day Two of Home Invite

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Catholic University of America volleyball earned a split on the final day of the Guetle Invitational as the beat Ursinus, 4-1, but fell to Salisbury in five.

All-Tournament team selection Amy O'Connor earned 10 kills in the win over Ursinus. Fellow senior Maria Cristina Juelle also went for a season-high 21 kills in the win.

Senior Michelle Seals had a match-high 31 assists while freshman libero chipped in 20 digs.

Freshman Patricia Martinez had a career-best 22 kills and helped Catholic to 14-all in the final set, but Salisbury was able to get the final two points for the win.

Catholic returns to the court this Wednesday as the Cardinals begin a four-game road swing at Washington College.
