WESTWOOD, Mass. - Catholic University football senior Colin McNulty was named to the All-New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) First Team on Thursday while junior Andrew Funaki was named to the Second Team.
The Cardinals have had seven players earn all-conference honors since joining the NEWMAC prior to the 2017 season, including four first team selections.
McNulty finished fifth on the team with 15 catches and 168 yards receiving this season while ranking second with four touchdowns. He had at least one catch in eight of the team's 10 games, highlighted by his four catches for 51 yards and two touchdowns at Springfield on Oct. 26. He also had four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown in the team's 28-13 win at Maine Maritime in the season finale.
McNulty, who was named to the NEWMAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team on Wednesday, finished his career with six receiving touchdowns and average of 9.4 yards per catch.
Funaki finished third on the team with 64 tackles while leading the Cardinals with eight passes defensed, including three interceptions. He also had three tackles for loss and one blocked kick. His best performance of the season came on Sept. 28 against conference champion MIT when he had 11 total tackles, one for loss and one interception.
Funaki also had seven total tackles, one for loss and two interceptions in the season opener against Kenyon.
