WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America field hockey team won its fifth-consecutive Landmark Conference game, defeating Susquehanna in come-from-behind fashion, on the road, 3-2.
The Cardinals trailed 2-1 at the half but came back as Marisa Martinelli scored with just 10 minutes left to equalize the game.
With only two and half minutes remaining in regulation, rookie Hannah Schied came up with the gamewinner, going unassisted for her fifth goal of the year.
Senior goalkeeper Analisa Scott registered six saves for her 10th win of the season, facing 17 shots and 14 corner kicks from Susquehanna.
After two-straight games on the road, the Cardinals close out the season with two matchups at home. CUA hosts Ursinus on Tuesday night in a nonconference test before hosting Juniata in the final regular season and Landmark game on Saturday afternoon.
