WASHINGTON – Longstreth and the National Field Hockey Coaches of America (NFHCA) announced the Division III All-Region teams and two members of The Catholic University of America field hockey team were honored. Senior Tarah Portland and junior Analisa Scott were each selected to the All-South Atlantic Region First Team.
The duo anchored a defense that helped the Cardinals to the Landmark Conference Championship, winning two road games to claim their fourth league title in five seasons and fifth-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Portland, a defender from Fredricksburg, Va., earned her third-straight selection to the All-Landmark First Team this season. She helped CUA to a conference-leading 0.47 shutouts per game and nine total blank sheets. Portland also scored the game-winning goal at 2015 NCAA Tournament team, Rhodes.
Scott, a goalkeeper from Hershey, Pa., was selected as Landmark's first team goalkeeper for second-straight season in 2015. She was also honored as the Landmark Tournament MVP. Scott ranks 16th in the country with an .833 save percentage and 21st with a 1.15 goals against average. Scott was also a first team honoree last season.
