Pehnke Named Landmark Defensive Athlete of the Week

WASHINGTON - Tricia Pehnke of The Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team has been named to the Landmark Conference Athletic of the Week list for the week ending Sunday, March 29.

Pehnke totaled 25 saves across Catholic's three games last week. She made eight stops while allowing only six goals in a 15-6 win over St. Mary's (Md.) on Tuesday while also leading the team with three caused turnovers. Pehnke added eight more saves in a tight one-goal defeat to nationally-ranked Williams on Thursday, and she concluded her week with nine stops in a 21-10 conference win over Drew. Pehnke held the Rangers to a 2 of 6 conversion rate on free position attempts, and she had a team-high four ground balls. She leads the Landmark with a 10.09 GAA for the season.

The Cards head to York Pa. to take on the No. 15 York College Spartans in a mid-week match up on Wednesday, April 1.
