HILTON HEAD, S.C. – CUA dropped an 8-1 decision to Milligan on Friday in the Cardinals final match of their 2012 spring break trip.  Isabel Tanco picked up CUA’s lone win of the day, defeating Halie Winfrey 6-1, 2-6, 10-6 at the fifth singles flight.

Margie Selinger was upended by Kayla Kelly 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, while Ritamarie Holden dropped a 6-2, 6-4 match to Sarah Rainwater at the second flight.

At third singles, Caitlin Porter fell to Albany Kelly 7-5, 4-6, 10-6, while Celeste Carpenter came away with a 7-5, 1-6, 11-9 win over Elaina Sceusa at the fourth flight.

In the sixth singles match, Amanda Pellegrino was outlasted by Ahmee Kelly 7-6, 6-3.

In doubles action, Kayla Kelly and Rainwater defeated Selinger and Tanco 8-3 at the first flight, while Albany Kelly and Carpenter downed Holden and Emma Needham 8-0 at the second flight.

Winfrey and Ahmee Kelly closed things out with an 8-3 win over CUA’s Gretchen Coombs and Rosemary Montani at third doubles.

CUA returns to action on March 14 when the Cardinals play host to Division I foe Loyola (Md.).  Start time is set for 2:15 p.m.
