Catholic Volleyball Blanks McDaniel for Road Win

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America volleyball team earned its third win of the year at McDaniel on Tuesday night, blanking the Green Terror for a straight-sets victory.

Junior setter Michelle Seals led the way, registering a game-high 33 assists and keying a Cardinal offense that hit .333 on the night, nearly 150 points higher than McDaniel.

Catholic held the Green Terror to just 20 and 18 points in the first set and then was able to withstand a McDaniel rally which made it 24-all, taking the next two points to close out the win.

Junior middle hitter Tara Rempel posted a team-high 11 kills, hitting .476 for the match.

The Cards will look to keep the momentum going as they host the annual CUA Guetle Invitational this Friday and Saturday as part of its home-opening weekend.
