MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Catholic University women's cross country team placed 13th out of 33 teams at the NCAA South/Southeast Regionals on Saturday at Shelby Farms Park with 394 points.
It marked the team's fifth top-15 finish since 2009.
"We are so happy with how the women performed not only today but all season," said head coach Steve Rahn. "Finishing 13th and averaging 24:18 which was our fastest region champs average in recent history. Thank you to our seniors whose leadership, support, encouragement and hard work will be everlasting in the program."
Sophomore Paige Wilderotter was the first Cardinal to cross the finish line in 45th place with a time of 23:26.7.
